A kookaburra decided to sit on my balcony, so I was trying to feed it. Unfortunately, it wasn’t very interested in cheese and bread, and I didn’t have any non-frozen meat, so coming to me for food must have been a disappointment. Ah well ..

That’s a very nice bird. It isn’t afraid of you at all.

That’s right. That kind of bird is at the top of the food chain – it has no predators. So, it’s not tame – it is just not afraid of anything.
Sometimes this place feels like a wildlife park …

This place looks like a nature reserve. Do you have many places like this in Sydney?

Lol, that’s my apartment …
North shore Sydney is one big nature reserve!

Wow, your apartment? The scenery is very nice! I thought you were at a park or nature reserve!

Yes, well, it’s not all that great an apartment really. It’s kind of old.
But if you like nature, then it’s the place for you! I really love being able to see trees around me, so I like it. The birds can be kind of noisy in the morning though : /

Anyway, does the Kokkaburra know how to fly a plane? It can be a pilot.

Yes, all kookaburras are well versed in aircraft handling. That’s why Qantas has never had a crash.

Ah, so the actual pilots who are flying our planes are kokkaburras. Next time you need to fly somewhere just ask it to fly the plane for you.

What does this Kokkaburra eat?

You know, according to the proportion of size of your hand to the size of the bird, it can probably fit it nicely at your hand.
But of course, that’s because your hand is considered very small to me!
