Safari trick
I just learnt a new trick in Safari I haven’t seen anywhere else. Double click in the blank area of the “tabs” bar (ie, to the right of any existing tabs) to spawn and select a new tab.
Short and sweet.

I’m pretty sure Firefox has had that feature since like at least version 2, man.

Ha. I almost never used FF2 on Mac since it was such a pig. FF3 is v. good, though.
Well .. it was new to *me* … : /

Yeah, I actually just remembered that the feature must have been in FF pre version 2. Because I originally found it annoying that in FF 1 and 2, if you only had one page open, then you didn’t get the tab bar at all and therefore couldn’t double click to open a new tab. So that was why I originally found the Tab Mix Plus add-on that would give me the tab bar all the time, just so I could double click for a new tab.
I’ve just got around to installing FF 3 tonight, and yeah, liking it so far. Tab Mix Plus isn’t compatible yet, but I’ve got my tab bar all the time anyway it seems. I guess Mozilla must have heard that I liked that double click for a new tab feature.
